I Want You!

Do you love watching TV? Are you good at editing, writing, acting, or collaborating? If you answered yes, then I want you to be on my creative team!

Here’s the deal…. As many of you know, I’ve spent the past year developing a web series and I’m now in the final stages of writing. A number of people have offered to help me edit before the big release. I love collaborating more than anyone, but I don’t want to give it all away. I’ve decided to put together a creative team of 20 people. Our team will spend lots of time together reading the script, editing, discussing, and laughing.

Benefits of joining the creative team:

  • Lots of hours of laughing
  • Unlimited red pens
  • Your own clipboard
  • Tons of snacks
  • Your name in the credits

In order to apply, please fill out the contact form on the website. In the body of the email, please answer the following:

  •     What is your favorite TV show and why?
  •     Who is your favorite character in a TV show and why?
  •  Why do you want to be a member of the creative team?

I can’t wait to work with you! Have a Funky Friday!

  1. What is your favorite TV show and why?

My favorite TV show is Avatar: The Last Airbender, because its story is one of the best I’ve ever seen, the art is incredible and the characters have incredible depth and growth. But if I had to choose a more well-known show I’d go with…
Modern Family. As far as shows go, Modern Family is one I not only enjoy but respect. Its humor is quick and unconventional and its plot is in constant motion. Every season finale so far has made me cry because Modern Family is as moving and meaningful as it is funny, and that’s what earns it my respect and love.

Who is your favorite character in a TV show and why?

Phil Dunphy. His confidence is infectious and charming, as is his optimism, albeit at times naive. He lives by his own set of principles, and appears carefree and truly happy in his life. He is an excellent role model for his children. Obstacles he usually handles with finesse and when things come crashing down it doesn’t take him long to get back on his feet, and I admire that about him.

Why do you want to be a member of the creative team?

I love the idea of sitting at a table and letting the creative juices run free amidst a trove of snacks and coffee. I imagine people laughing and taking notes and going “ohhhhhhh that’s goooooood!!!” I love to be both the one causing this reaction and the one having it, and that’s what collaboration is all about. “Funky Friday” sounds like a really cool idea and I would love to be a part of it.
